I have loose teeth, bleeding gums and foul breath…

Most likely you are a victim of gum disease. Gum disease begins with a thin film of unremoved plaque that slowly calcifies around the tooth and become tartar (or calculus). The germ in the tartar comes in contact with your gum and creates an inflammatory response as your body tries to fight off these intruders. This inflammation causes the gum tissue to bleed easily when you brush or floss. This is called gingivitis.

Should the inflammation persist, the gum, ligament and bone around the teeth will be slowly destroyed- often with you not feeling anything at all! This condition is known as periodontitis, an irreversible bone loss of your jawbone. Once you feel your teeth being loose along with foul breath and pus between in your gum, you may be a victim of this condition.

The LANAP® Protocol - Hope for the hopeless tooth

Traditionally, the only way to control periodontitis is through deep cleaning and more frequent follow-up maintenance appointments. And the only way to bring back the lost bone is through invasive gum surgery- where the gum around the teeth is cut open, area cleaned, bone added, and the gums are then stitched back up. This procedure is often feared as the healing process is long and uncomfortable.

Dentistry is an exciting and ever-evolving field, now with the PerioLase® MVP-7 Laser device along with the LANAP protocol, there is no need for cutting and suturing any more in order for us to bring the bone back!!

This minimally invasive and patient friendly procedure will help to return your mouth back to a healthy condition again comfortably and without fear.

More on PerioLase® MVP-7 and the LANAP protocol

The LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure) protocol is a patented periodontal treatment that can only be performed by certified clinicians. This protocol is cleared by the FDA in 2004 and can only be accomplished with the PerioLase® MVP-7 laser device. This laser device only operates at a specific wavelength that obliterates the gum disease causing bacteria whilst leaving the healthy tissue intact. Post-treatment recession and tooth sensitivity, which may be significant after traditional gum surgery are also greatly reduced.
